Hiding in Plain Sight

This white paper is Part 1 in a series and presents the results of our research into the phenomenon of cybercrime in social media which uncovered hundreds of groups across multiple geographic regions. We studied how each platform operates, what restrictions or advantages it offers, and analyzed the statistics of how many special interest groups are out there and how many members they have.
